Ameenji Rubber Limited is a manufacturer and supplier of strip seal expansion joints, the most widely specified joint type on Indian bridge decks. Strip seal joints accommodate thermal expansion, creep, shrinkage and traffic-induced movement of the superstructure while keeping the deck watertight and the riding surface continuous. Each joint consists of two hot-rolled steel edge beams with anchor loops cast into the deck concrete, and a preformed chloroprene (neoprene) strip seal locked mechanically into the edge beam cavities. The seal is extruded in-house from compound tested for hardness, tensile strength, ozone resistance and compression set in Ameenji’s NABL-accredited laboratory. Edge beams and seals are manufactured to MORTH Section 2600 and IRC:SP:69, and each supply is covered by test reports and certificates for consultant approval.
